Relana J. Gerami-Luss Founding Executive Artistic Director

Relana has been directing, teaching, and inspiring young performers for over 20 years. An award-winning director, she has led more than 100 productions ranging from youth theatre to large-scale musicals. As the founder of the former Bay Area Theatre and Voice Academy (BATAVA) and the voice behind Luss Vocal Studio, Relana has trained countless students who have gone on to excel in performance, education, and leadership.

Her passion is helping each student discover their unique voice — both on stage and in life. Known for her energy, creativity, and heart for community, Relana is dedicated to building Elevate as a place where performers of all ages feel empowered, challenged, and celebrated.

Mario Negron-Sweeney Teaching Assistant

Mario is a passionate performer and lifelong student of musical theatre. He recently earned his Associate of Arts degree in Theatre Performance and has trained with Relana for over 15 years. With more than 50 productions under his belt, some of his favorite roles include Seymour (Little Shop of Horrors), Mischa (Ride the Cyclone), Collins/Angel (Rent), and Telly (Godspell).

He has participated in numerous camps and intensives with Broadway professionals and has received multiple awards in acting, singing, and dance. With 18 years of vocal training, Mario is deeply committed to all aspects of the performing arts and is excited to share his knowledge and passion with the next generation of theatre lovers.

Morgan Hughes Assistant Director

Morgan is excited to be assistant direct her first production with Elevate Performing Arts Conservatory (EPAC). She has performed in Houston and College station over the past 11 years, including her favorite productions of The Pillowman at Dirt dogs theater co., Proof (Catherine), and Crimes of the Heart (Babe) at Blinn Bryan Theatre and The Revolutionists (Marie Antoinette) at Pearl Theatre. She has most recently been studying acting with David Rainey of the Alley theatre and is signed with Pastorini Bosby talent Agency.
